As the assembly elections in Rajasthan and Telangana loom just days away, political parties are intensifying their efforts to sway the electorate. Star campaigners from various parties are actively involved in extensive campaigns, addressing public gatherings, and organizing roadshows to establish a direct connection with voters and secure their support.
In Rajasthan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a prominent leader of the BJP, addressed public meetings in Pali and Pilibanga, emphasizing the need for a government in Rajasthan that prioritizes the welfare of its people. The BJP National President, JP Nadda, also held public meetings at multiple locations in the state, while Yogi Adityanath, another BJP leader, addressed a public meeting in Amer near Jaipur.
Meanwhile, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge conducted election rallies in Sriganganagar and Hanumangarh, highlighting the accomplishments of the Congress government in the state. Senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot held public meetings in Tonk, Pali, and Jodhpur in support of party candidates. Additionally, Priyanka Gandhi, a prominent Congress leader, campaigned for party candidates in Kekri and Jahazpur. The polling for 199 assembly seats in Rajasthan is scheduled for the 25th of this month.
In Rajasthan, the second phase of the home voting facility for the elderly and differently-abled individuals commenced today. In the initial phase, 60,424 voters across the state exercised their right to vote from the comfort of their homes.
Turning to Telangana, leaders from national and regional parties are extensively touring the state to appeal to voters. The 119-member state legislative assembly is slated for polls on the 30th of this month. Senior BJP leader Amit Shah addressed the Sakala Janula Vijaya Sankalpa Sabhas in Janagaon and Korutla, pledging to ensure a remunerative price for turmeric farmers if the BJP secures victory in the elections.
